Did anyone notice that there are only 48 stars on the flag?
Alaska and Hawaii were not admitted to the Union when the film was made.
I really didn't count the stars, just testing fellow trivia bloggers.
i think Roberta Ballantine was the key showgirl on this float--
Mike -
I have a new software that allows you to unfold the flag in order to obtain a more accurate count on NOT ONLY the number of stars, but STRIPES, TOO! ~frank
PS - It also works wonders with wrinkled clothing.
Jerry,
The three girls that normally rode this float are Delores Murphy,
Norma Wright and Nina(Unus)Furtner.
I don't show Roberta Ballantine on the show in 1951.
