From Sue Lenz #11

Smarts, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

Hi Buckles:

A friend from England has sent me some scans of old British posters.
I thought that some of your readers may like to see them along with quite a few others that I already have.

I have tried to date as many as possible with the help of my Perpetual Calendar.

I will attach them in two Emails.

Kindest regards.
Sue.

The Vinicky mentioned in the poster is probably Joszi Smaha-Vinicky, Tony Smaha Sr.'s brother.

The Alexanders was headed by the one and only Tibor Alexander, also creator of the Alexander-Gram a memo typewritten on a yellow paper resembling a Western Union telegram.
Tibor and his wife, Irene, presented a dressed dog act in addition to his talent agency.
Recently a long time performer and myself were talking about Tibor's habit of visiting an act to pick up his commission and requesting a sandwich and permission to take a nap on their couch.

It is so nice to see that even the big circuses found it to be an asset to list on their bills-advertising all of the great acts to be seen as part of their show. American circuses also had "special paper" in heralding the great acts in their shows. Pretty sad that RBBB does not herald one act period||. because sadly they don't have any acts. It is a credit to Cole Bros. that their motto is "Circus of the stars" and their PR people publicized to great extent the Artists appearing and each year the repaint the Murals on the front entrance depicting this years highlights, Makes for a good feeling. With GSOE you just get lost in the shuffle by DESIGN|||.
