Yesterday’s photo of the 1908 Barnum & Bailey parade in Newport raised a question regarding another set of photos of the 4-Paw show. As. I had mentioned in my comment, those 1907 photos were taken from the opposite side of the street. Also the 1913 photo of Sig Sautelle. |

The Ringling practice of having the bull men and possibly wagon drivers and helpers wear pith helmets spread to Forepaugh_Sells after they bought half the show from Bailey in 1905. Here's confirmation for 1907.
Something you don't see too often is the view of the rear skyboard of this wagon.
