The "flamboyant" attention-grabber showgirl who rode the elephant in a reclined position was second cousin Vanda Cristiani. If I remember correctly, my aunt Chita arranged her passage straight from Italy. Vanda didn't speak a word of english and hardly had any hair at all when she arrived on the show. After months of Henna treatments her thick black hair became her crowning glory. Eventually,Vonda married concessionaire, Chester Cable. Best to all, Vickie
