A close examination of the details of this wagon strongly suggest that it was constructed as a tableau cage. The shape and design is a dead ringer for the series of a dozen or so that were fabricated for Barnum & London for 1883. No explanation has been found that might explain a separation or "twin" status. After service with Lemen, Hale's and Lemon it went to the Hall farm and with the unusual Lemen bandwagon went onto the Irwin Wild West outfit and oblivion. One corner image from this wagon is preserved.
