Tom Packs Circus #2

This appears to be a photo-op of some sort at the CNE.
The five elephants in this act were "Alice", "Jean", "Penny",
"Mary" and "Tommy" (female).
Roger Smith should remember them well from their later
years at 1000 Oaks.

Would it have been the tom packs punks that Mack broke pre Peggy Henderson?. I recall Gill Gray mentioning some punks that McDonald broke. I thought he said in Cali.Can't recall what group.

No Peggy and Mack were married on Bailey Bros. prior to this in the mid 1940's.
This was when he trained Big Bob Stevens' elephants "Christy", "Carrie",
"Babe" and "Shirley that later became the Oscar Cristiani elephants.

Along with the fearsome Betty and CIRCUS BOY star Bimbo, they made up our 7. As most readers know, Arky Scott was our Elephant Boss until his passing on April 11, 1968. His most capable assistant, George A. Young, assumed command, and did a sterling job with the girls until our closing. I've noted previously in these chronicles that George's elephant barn was the cleanest I've seen. Every day, he GI'd his domain until you could have served High Tea on that floor.
