(While a child, McCoy had met Buffalo Bill, and had always been mesmerized with the concept of a Wild West show.) McCoy’s show was designed to play in an arena 150 wide by 200 feet long. The cast included American cowboys, Australian bullwhackers, Argentinian gauchos & Mexican vaqueros, British Lancers, Bengal Lancers, Italian hussars, Royal Savoy Dragoons, Russian Cossacks, veterans of the U.S. Cavalry, Indians from many different tribes, and a 32-piece band.
