1938 Cole Bros. Program #6

This is Beatty-Cole "Anna May" for whom our elephant
was named.
Alonzo Dever was boss elephant man in '38 but this
isn't him.
My dad led her around in this act a few years later but I
think they only used the tiger "Rimba ?". He added that both
he and "Anna May" were thrashed with that buggy whip
regularly but being up so high, "Rimba" was the only safe one.

I think this is Cap Bernardi. Wasn't the tiger Primba?

I recall this elephant and toured with her and another cow named Bessie. Frank Daily worked them on Sells and Gray in 1967.

That was probably the Bessie from the Norma D five

Right, Primba was the tigress, whose co-star Simba the lion was retired due to the onset of blindness.
