My mother spoke of this act on the Cole show and it seems she said they were french. Never the less she said the gent ended up getting busted up. Then he put his wife in the car and she ended up in the hospital. Their helper was in line next ; also got busted up. They imported someone else and he survived, she said, long enough to repeat the crew starting with the owner and again his wife, both making repeat trips to the hospital.Quite an act, quite an act she said.

On a good day the Cresso car did

1 somersault & landed in the bed

of the rolled canvas basket weave

covering of a steel frame

On other days it might land partly

on the bed or maybe next to it

Watching the poor kid fumble with

the matches trying to light the

gerbs could bring a tear

I believe the driver was adopted

The driver's helmet was the 1st

point of impact much of the time

& it protected the car from any

serious damage

The seat belt was secured to the

plywood seat that was very poorly

attached to the frame of the car

The whole shebang was very much

a thrill attraction
