Probably no connection but Frank Buck had four elephants at his exhibit at the Fair as well, under the direction of Capt. Larry Davis. |

"1000 monkeys" on a "mountain" in Queens, NY, now that's something I'd like to see. Must have been loads of fun rounding them up when the Fair was over.

One of the elephants Frank Buck had at the 1939 Fair was Frieda, whom he had obtained from the Ringling show in lieu of back wages from the 1938 season. She later ended up in the Cleveland Zoo and was one of the first elephants I ever saw.
