1994 Paul Gutheil Picture #3

This is "Siam" in the Romeo & Juliet number, one of the nicest elephants I was ever around, she would follow you thru the Gates of Hell.
She was among the large number of punks imported the Summer of 1954 and might well have ridden in one of the carriages the following year in "Mamas In The Park".
Had a guy on wardrobe named Dave that painted the welcome sign on the blanket for each town. I was trudging around one day later in the season and I noticed the audience was laughing, some even jeering, he had painted "Welcome to Worchester!". Big beef over that, I never knew New Englanders could be so touchy.

Nice Photo with You & Siam -

I recall Siam had the Most Beautiful Fleshy Pink Color Markings on Face & Ears that I ever saw & found A Very Attractive Elephant Overall - yes even I too remember Siam along with your C.W. Peggy as 2 Exceptionally Pleasent & Large Elephants .

Siam was a great lead elephant and the herd boss of Axel's herd.
