Parker #3

Parker-3, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

In 1909, Adele married Jim Parker, who was also in Buffalo Bill’s show. In 1910 she and her husband starred in a new show called “Cheyenne Days,” which was one of the most successful equestrian shows ever produced. Adele loved riding stallions with spirit. When performing in theaters, she often terrorized the musicians by jumping her horses over the orchestra pit and sometimes even down into it. Adele also appeared with the Barnum & Bailey Circus and later with Ringling-Barnum.

Into the orchetra pit?!? Too bad she's not still around; she could have been a big help to the Spiderman production.

From ALL I've heard nothing can

be a "big help" to this fiasco

Another production I am very

fortunate to have turned down

I certainly have had more than

my share of serious flops

HIYA CHIC !

If you had joined "Spiderman",you would have shown them what they did NOT know about aerial rigging.

In addition, you would have brought in a team of experienced "pros" to assist you, and combined you would have prevented the four serious accidents.

I know that he is not involved with
this musical but, years ago in NYC,I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Stan Lee. A great guy!!

Michael Cohl, executive producer of this show, and I had some interesting dealings in Canada.

I have to share those with you on the telephone.

Thanks Frank

I guess Bloomberg won't have to

worry about the next couple of

snowfalls with all that radiation

I've been busy keeping up with

all the updates on two other

stage disasters in progress

Also to be discussed by phone

When will you get down here

HIYA CHIC!

I'm anxious to hear the other looming disasters.

My plan is to return to Paradise in mid-February for the "first and last RBBB Marketing Dept. Reunion".

Also, in early February, April Redpath is marrying Michael Coronas.

I hope to be down for that special
moment, but I may have a conflict up here.

Talk to you soon!

Frank Curry, tell us more about the reunion! Who's still around from the 1970s? Those were great and important days as Ringling was very effective in getting into all the buildings then being built. I remember a fascinating story that appeared in the business section of a Rochester, NY, paper telling about how Ringling booked its shows and the sort of love-hate relationship building managers had for the show! Irvin Feld was the right man at the right time.

TO DICK FLINT,

Art Concello really started the process of "getting into the buildings then being built" after July,1956. RIP

Art,then Rudy Bundy continued doing it until Irv took over in 1968.

The start of the Blue Unit accelerated the need for more of the new arenas.

You are correct about the "love-hate" relationship.

Irvin and Allen demanded a very good deal on rent and concessions.

If the arena did not agree, we simply refused to play it. Such as Portland.

It did not take long before the rest of the arena managers got the message.

Irvin WAS "the right man at the right time".

As far as the Reunion, there will be a few "warm bodies" from the
'70's. More later.
