From Buckles

Scan00000010199, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

In regard to yesterday's 1926 picture of Lillian Lietzel and Dolly Jahn from Chris Berry and wonderfully elaborated on by John Herriott and Dick Flint, this is Dolly (Copeland) and Mary Jane Miller with RBBB in the 1940's.

Maybe Jackie LeClair could add to this.
Am I correct in saying that these were the two ladies doing the double-trap act at the Garden in the recent 1948 National Geographic lay-out?
If so, would this be the same wardrobe?
Probably not, I don't think anyone would wear a headpiece in that type act.

Hi Buckles,
In regard to the act depicted in the Nat'l Geo. article.
The Billboard review of the 1947 show lists an aerial act called The Rose Sisters (Dolly Jahn and Rose Behee) and if you magnify the Nat'l. Geo photo you will notice that the costumes look like the one in your photo. Also the headdress looks the same.
Could the blonde in your photo possibly be Rose Behee and not Mary Jane Miller???
I don't remember if it was noted but all the indoor shots were taken in the old Boston Garden.

It's possible this was a display that included several house acts with complimenting wardrobe.
They could have been in the same display in different acts.
