RINGLING BROS. AND BARNUM & BAILEY MARKETING AND SALES REUNION TO BE HELD IN SARASOTA FEBRUARY 11 AND 12

The first and probably only Ringling/Feld marketing reunion will take place February 11 and 12 in Sarasota. Over 70 former and current marketing and sales executives will be in attendance spanning over 33 years of service to the industry. Many former circus promoters have gone on to successful careers in the live event industry including venue management, major league sports, museums, orchestras, fairs and expositions. Still others have started successful businesses in diverse fields ranging from advertising, marketing, publishing, disaster and rescue services and modeling agencies. All have the common background of working for Feld Entertainment shortly after they graduated college.

On Saturday night February 12 the group will be visiting ShowFolks of Sarasota for dinner and drinks starting at 9 pm. Showfolks club members are invited to join the group at the club. Tickets for the BBQ dinner portion are on sale now for $25.00. Those not interested in dining can come to the club on the bar side to meet and greet.

For more information please call 813 623 6556 extension 1.

Unrelated to this post.
I heard, this afternoon, Barbara Fulton passed away, in Hugo. I have no details, at this time.
Thought some of you might want to know.

I was the first Vice President Marketing of the Feld regime, being hired by Irvin shortly before he headed to the Roman Coliseum, for the big signing in October,1967.

However,I did not come straight from college.

Rather,I worked the press room at the old Madison Square Garden for RBBB,in 1956 and 1964.

In addition,I clowned and fought bulls at Rodeos all over North America for 11 years.
Often,I was involved in the promotion of them.

After RBBB,among other ventures,I created, produced, promoted and ringmastered the Ronald McDonald Circus, under canvas and in arenas.

The Ronald McDonald Circus holds the attendance record for family shows in Nashville!

I look forward to cutting up jackpots with old cohorts in Sarasota at the Ringling Reunion.
