Good Morning Buckles,
This set and the 1925 set below are all owned and operated by the same Frank J. Taylor of Omaha, Nebraska.
Along with so many others, he was a customer of Wm. P. Hall. He leased three elephants, on the 4th of February in 1928 for his 10 week spring season. He got George, Mary and Tulsa. All of them are listed as 5 ft. 6 inches tall. The lease called for $100.00 a week.
On July 24th, 1928, Mr Taylor came back to Mr. Hall and bought a black bear, a spider monkey, a white camel and a brown camel. He gave Mr. Hall a piece of land in Omaha for the purchase.
On April 15th, 1930, he again came to Mr. Hall and leased one elephant ( Mona ) and a camel for $75.00 a week for 10 weeks.
Bob
( All original contracts survive in the Hall papers at CWM. )
I think we can all guess who ended up getting all this stock back.
