Appearing in the first half of the show was Gerard Soules’ “Poodles de Paree” (an act quite similar to the one presented by Victor Julian for many years.) Soules’ music included “Gigi,” “The Night They Invented Champaign,” “Thank Heaven for Little Girls,” “The Last Time I Saw Paris,” “Poor Butterfly,” “Mexican Hat Dance,” the theme from the TV series “Bonanza,” the Bridal Chorus from “Lohengrin,” some pseudo-Chinese music, “While Strolling Through the Park One Day,” Offenbach’s “Can-Can,” and “Great Day.”
