Per recent discussions, note spare center pole carried on pole wagon as show was now using a quarter pole wagon. I am curious how many light poles and sign posts became victims to this load?

RE. my query further back. This shot shows one reason why I queried! The spare is being carried - in UK we had the added hassle of the tents, etc. were all the stadard US size at the time for 1897-99 but our rail stock was just over 50 feet long & total height was restricted - so carrying spares on anything other than the "proper" pole wagon seemed illogical (There is also one US book at least that mentions th spare usually being on the wagon & un-numbered)
