Mr.Walter Klausner and Lady Herta. The high bike bear in this photo should be Katya, one of Herta's favorites. Later on when I and Mr.Burck were commandeered to work in Herta's bear act (during the Marineland era,) I got to send off a bear named Teddy on this high bike. I also got to do the reinstalling of Boo-Boo's tie in the act while doing the legendary "Swahili Slap Dance". Some fond memories. PS(Great Bear Photos Buckles).
At the last CFA Convention in Chicago a few years ago, John and Herta were the banquet speakers and before things got going, I took a handful of photos up to have Herta autograph them. When she got to a photo of a bear on a high bicycle, she looked at it for a while and said, "I always Hated that trick! It was dangerous for the bears and dangerous to train."
