Spunky-12, originally uploaded by bucklesw1. Spunky is purchased by a traveling peddler named Peter Peppercorn, who proves to be a good and kind master. (The black dye eventually washes off and Spunky's coat is once again white.) Pulling Peter’s cart, Spunky spends the next several years leading a vagabond existence throughout the Southwest.
