This 1939 photo taken at Bud Anderson's quarters in Emporia, Kansas shows Mack MacDonald at right with "Gentry Babe" and "Eva" the former Max Gruber elephant. In the center row "Modoc", "Empress" and "Judy" purchased from Cole Bros. Circus. And Matt Laurish in front with the newly imported "Bonnie", India" and a third elephant that died. Otherwise Arthur Bros. could have advertised triplets. So in conclusion, we still don't know who the unidentified lady is and after all my ramblings, I'm sure Mr. Berry is sorry he brought the subject up.
