...And here I was focusing on the beautiful blankets and headpieces! ~frank
Wilhelmina...Whew...thats a tonque twister when workin the act...and I suppose if you shorten it, you have to play Hell with the tough ole Broad the elephant was named after...(alledgedly)..
Zych,
As we have discussed in the past, naming an animal after a person has always seemed very disrespectful because eventually stuff is added with the name, like "Ed/Sam, you s*n of a b**ch come here" or "Mary/Nicole, back up you hateful b*tch" or "G*d d**m it, I've had enough Smokey" or J**us C*ri*t Doris, I'm tired of telling you twice. Don't forget you and I(as well as a few others) have been attributed with, "Gypsy d*mm*t, would you quit acting like a ja*k a** and just stand in line like everybody else. Why do you have to be an a**h*le, and dismantle and wreck everything?"
You think Wilhelmina is a gem? Jungle Larry had a three act named Wama, Rojo, and Duvu. You couldn't cuss them as a herd. You had to do it individually otherwise, you would gag and spit up on your shirt.

Wade,
I cannot find any information about those three elephants of Jungle Larry's. Can you share more information regarding that act?
Radar,
What information were you seeking?
Wade Burck
Where did these elephants come from Wade? How long did he have them? What became of them?
I note that during that b54 season when you, your dade and Logan replaced us with Cole Elephanes on the Big King Bros. that Whitey Thorn [same guy] was show electrician plus also on the show with elephant credentials along with Bert Pettus and newcommers Myself and Lou Regan, were Matt Laurish, Whitey Haven, Milt Herriott,. P.J. Jones had started out the season and hands were Spider Jones, Possum Red. Quite an array on one show.
I believe that in this particular picture the elephant lad pictured is Mary Keyes Thorn, Whiteys wife. I knew her and her build and wardrobe would lead me to believe that this is her.johnny
Radar,
I can help you out with they were female African elephants. I think I recall hearing that Frank Thompson delivered them, but don't quote me on that.
Wade Burck
Addendum to Radar,
Go to that other blog deal and type Jungle Larry elephant in the search bar to see a picture of one of the elephants you ask about.
