From Andrew Wightman

Hi Buckles
Do you have any information on two acts. I was wondering if the Palacios act went anywhere after they were done with Ringling and were they the same kind of act that Alfred Court had some 50 or 60 years earlier ? I was also wondering what Samel’s mixed act consisted of .Was it just lions and Tigers or was it something else?

Thomas,
Good job, jonge. For folks who do not know him, Thomas Bohner is a knowledgeable young "cage act historian" from Holland. He has a fine site devoted exclusively to circus wild animal acts called
Circusforlive, which I recommend looking at and commenting on now and again. If you can't reach it by Googling Circusforlive, it is linked on circusnospin.

uhum, big difference Wade ! Very big difference !

Thomas,
What are you talking about, big difference? Both Holland and Belgium make incredible porcelain, so that makes them the same, east of Maine, The United States of America. Both Mexico and Panama make incredible beans and guacamole, so that makes them the same, south of Texas, The United States of America. We have had this geography lesson before, Thomas.

Besides, Thomas, what do you expect from someone who's from South Dakota?

Are there REALLY 2 Dakotas Wade

I believe only part of Belgium

speaks Dutch while the majority

speak French (like Jacques Brel)

Frank,
Thomas is a great kid, and probably one of the most eager "new fans" I have ever encountered. Encourage him, as lord knows new blood is needed, least the fan base end's up like the Shrine Club. In addition to wanting to know who made the costume, he wants to know how many rhinestones and how many sequins.

Chic,
I wasn't aware of it, until anonymous nit wit said something, but I checked and yes there is. All septic tanks and plumping in North Dakota are plumped to run to the south. That's where it is at, apparently.

Wade

As much as I hate to offer any

annoyingmous any support it seems

The Dakotas is a collective term

that refers to the states of

North Dakota and South Dakota

together. The term has been used

historically to describe the

Dakota Territory, and is ontinued

to be used to describe the

collective heritage. (which seems

to allow your plumbing premise)

Frank,
I don't want to forget Vincent Manero, who sent in the photo's from Evansville. Another very eager fan from Europe. Vincent's deal is elephant's, he's nut's for them, as Thomas's deal is cage acts. Vincent comes over a couple of times a year, just to catch a few shows, and look at elephants in the Colonies. Europe has a young fan base that is quite devoted to, and loves the circus. Both super young men.

A comedian on the Johnny Carson Show had a routine called "There is no Wyoming!"
He finished by saying, "Where it was supposed to be on the map all I could find was desert, tumbleweeds and a lost coyote looking for Nevada!"
The following night Carson read a scathing telegram he had received from the Governor ranting that Wyoming was 2nd in the nation in mining, timber etc., etc. and concluded by saying, "And so Mr. Carson, for your information I am proud to state that there is indeed a Wyoming!"
Signed,
Gov. Frank Flugsnort
Miami, Florida

He had been attending a convention in Florida.
Needless to say the audience went nuts.

Chic,
Now you are interpreting geography correctly. We plumb it south, where it collects. It can't get simpler, or easier to understand than that.
I would have Gov. Hoeven confirm, but he is in Miami right now.
