Although I can't see the lash, that looks like a "popper" at the end of this hook, in Slims hand. This is an exact replica of the "Lockhart lash" that Lou Regan had, that I have described in the past on this blog. Even down to the brass feral/handle at the hook end, and the placement of black electrical tape at the ends.
Slims gotta be about half nut's to pose between Tusko's tusk and cheek. Great photos, thank you for posting them.
