Ringmaster Parley Baer

Parley Edward Baer, 14 August 1914 - 22 November 2002

This great and good man, friend to all who met him, circus boss and Ringmaster to many, passed away
to complications of a second stroke, at Motion Picture Hospital, in Woodland Hills, California, eight years ago.
Ten of us, family and friends, were with him. His daughter, Kim, pronounced him at 10:45 p.m.

Parley had over 150 roles in feature films, 1,700 television appearances, and one historian/fan told him he had lost
count at over 15,000 credits Parley accumulated in Old Time Radio.

It is a sad anniversary to mark his passing, but a true celebration of a magnificent career that he enjoyed
for over 65 of his 88 years. God rest him.

Roger Smith

"Due to an oversight by either Roger or myself, we managed to blow the anniversary date.
Normally I would apologize but Parley had such a great sense of humor I'm sure he would have found something amusing, even in this."

The day that Parley died and the day that President Kennedy was assassinated, were two of the saddest birthdays I ever had. May they continue to rest in peace. ~frank

But on the upside, on November 22, 1969, I met my beautiful Mary Jane for the first time. You might call it a whirlwind courtship as we married on December 23. Smartest move I ever made and we have had nearly forty-one great years together.

Now in her decline we have to take each day at a time, and every day we have each other is a blessing.

Alzheimers is a terrible disease; you just never know what you will have to face in life.
