The African, is Paula, a mainstay on Carson&Barnes for many years. She and the African "Christy" were sold to a zoo, in Calif. a few years back.
In 1990, Mel Siverlake, leased Paula for his Fisher Bros. show. He billed her as, Queen Tusk, it wasn't long before he received a cease and desist letter from the RBBB org. The elephant was returned to Hugo, at the end of the short lived season, of Fisher Bros. and the semi-trailer that used to haul her, was returned to me. I had loaned Silverlake the trailer and he and Turtle Benson had gone to Hugo and picked Paula up along with some bleacher seats.
