From Buckles

Scan13223, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

Taken 16 years ago at the Meadowlands by Paul Gutheil we see
Mike Cecere, Mike Hackenberger and myself discussing the
devaluation of the British Pound.
Kenneth Feld had been sitting in the empty seat but for some
reason quickly lost interest. A pity, he could have picked up some
pointers.

Buckles,
Harry Locker was another friend of mine I met through Mike Cecere.
Locker gave me a vip tour of the Ringling retirement center in Florida I will never forget.
The first thing was to find it out in the woods and for some one to open all the gates to get in.
What a great time we had and to see King tusk out there.

Harry was indeed a great guy! I think the last time we saw him was at the late great Catskill Game Farm where he had, two Africans in his charge, Sheba a big lovely lady, and a very big male with Scotish sounding name (Angus?) who was in musth at the time. I remember Angus(?) in the backyard picking up and tossing around a log that would have required two husky men to carry. Sheba had a bit of an infection around her right tusk (short, near the gum) that Harry had to spray medication into with a large syringe. She didn't like it but she held perfectly still for Harry. The big guy, even though in musth, was well-behaved for Harry. Still miss him.

Paul,
Angus and Sheba were from the Bowmanville Zoo.
