"Challenger" #1 (From Jerry Cash)

Buckles;
First I would like to say how much I enjoy your blog. It and a cup of coffee are a part of every morning.

Along with your theme of "Circus Train" photos, I thought you might be interested in this.

We flew to Cheyenne Wyoming on Sunday Sept. 26, to catch the Ringling trains move to Denver Colorado. On Tuesday morning, before 6:00 AM , Union Pacific's Challenger No. 3985, the world's largest operating steam locomotive, left Cheyenne. At Speer it picked up the circus train and left just as the sun was coming up. We photographed the train from Speer to Denver and along the way there were people at every crossing to watch and take pictures. The train arrived at York and 47th Ave., in Denver, a little after 10:00 AM to a large crowd of people and circus PR. I think it is probably the first time in at least 55 years the circus train has been pulled by a steam engine. It was quite a sight.

A big thank you to jerry and Annie for posting these photos.

Hey Chic, NAH!!! We like you just the way you are!!! Hey, that would make a great song title!!! Are there any chances of getting a look inside that warehouse? I think it would be like being a little boy in the candy store again.
