From Don Covington

Thought you'd enjoy seeing this photo of a circus model recently displayed in the city of Macon, France as part of that city's circus festival. It requires a space 10 meters by 5 meters to accommodate the model which is shown being assembled in the town's Exhibition Center.

The French circus site "aucirque.com" says that the model was constructed over a 40 year period by a Dutch model builder. Each piece was built by hand without using any commercial material. It depicts the German Cirkus Gleich in the 1930's. According to the website, that show's big top seated 10,000 people and presented a show in a three ring format. The menagerie carried 160 animals.

Very impressive.
