Frederic Edelstein (From Henry Penndorf)

Frederic Edelstein.1, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

An update on Frederic Edelstein. The Dutch, "Circus Photo Magazine", quoting German sources, said that Frederic Edelstein is leaving Cirque Pinder, and has signed a two year agreement to bring his mixed cage act to the United States to appear with Ringling Brothers beginning with the 2011 season.

From what I have read in other articles, interest, on both sides, in Frederic Edelstein coming to the United States and joining Ringling Brothers was first discussed in 2008.

Although "Circus Photo Magzine"questions their availability, it appears Cirque Pinder would replace Frederic Edelstein's cage act with one of the Lacey brothers, Alexander (mixed act) or Martin, Jr. (lions).

Highly unlikely that either of the Lacey boys would leave their current shows, particularly not Martin, given that his wife is the heiress of the show in quesyion.

I think it is unlikely that any of the three acts mentioned would be leaving the shows they are on and coming to the states. This sounds like the typical "Ringling is bringing over such and such" that is always heard about this time of year. (Yes Wade I will mention you pointed that out to me last year) With the company having stock in both Red and Blue show cage acts, it would seem unlikely they would park one of them and bring this. And this act would be quite heavy for the Gold unit. I suppose it could happen, but I doubt it.
