Looking good,Saw a gal or two do this trick on Carson& Barnes,In Fort Worth,A thumbs up for sure.
This would be Kris Kremo's wife. This is a top of the line act that's played some of the world's best circuses and clubs. Maybe some tricks are imitated, but none equaled. Classy, different, and with unusual but very appropriate and distinctive music.

To the "This would be Kris Kremo's Wife Fans" out there. AKA "Yelena Larking".
My knowledge being limited to this photo shown, I will still say, Quote, "Looking Good" and
"A thumbs up for sure". To me it appears to be a high line act and can stand on it's own feet or in this case foot, whether her spouse is well known or not.
And again a thumbs up to "Lady Yelena Larking" and Looking gooood.
PS.However the fact remains that I saw this trick done several years ago at the FT Worth date produced by Carson and Barnes and it sure caught my eye.
The words used "Imitated but not equaled"; I have heard many a ring master make this statement that has now been imitated and I find equally pompous.
I believe this act was originally performed topless (or nearly so) for a brief time. It would likely not have been seen in any circus, if that were the case. ;-) You need to see her perform it live-she is unbelievable. I was sitting next to a guy at the Big Apple Circus a few years ago, and his draw dropped as soon as she began the act. She is an all around great performer, as is her husband.
See her act from the BAC at this link:

To Chris
Well put. Also the quote "She is an all around great performer" the photo of this trick shown sure leans in that direction.
Once upon a time during our tented tour with the Vidbel Circus I saw an old gal walking around the lot who looked familiar one morning. Later on as I was housing my critters this same old gal asked "Are you Jimmy Hall"?
Upon hearing her voice, my reply was, "Lottie Brunn"? Twenty years had past since I had last worked with her.I mentioned to her that I had recenly visited the BAC Circus and saw a gal that came out dressed like Charles Chaplin with only a baton and performed with the action of a cracking whip.As I was going on about this gal, Lottie began to smile and informed me that this lady was her brother Francis' Protoge.
The moral to the this story is;
A lesson recently learned from one of my elders, Mr.Herriott, the back stroke in regards to my recent comments .
I now concede it my very well be possible that these good looking damsels are indeed inspired by one of a kind great "Jugglers".
PS.I will surly try to look up the link From Y.Larking on BAC.
Jimmy,
I know who you are talking about! I think the performer's name is Natalie Enterline-there is a video of her on Circopedia too. The act is exactly as you described. I agree that nearly all of my favorite performers learned from, or where inspired by, artists who came before them, whether they be family, friends, etc. Thank goodness these talented people pass their knowledge on to others, for fans like myself to enjoy!
Best regards,

J.C. Hall,
Damn, it is Larkina, like Chris said. Like Burck, not Burke and Irvin Feld, not Irving Feld. Irving is your brother. You may have seen the one foot deal on Carson and Barnes, but I guarantee you never saw anything like the production act she did on Knie and what is on the BAC clip on Carson and Barnes.
