Buckles,
I believe Mike LeClaire took the aerial photo. Elaine, Natalie and I caught up with Kelly Miller on Friday. Very enjoyable show, with a good amount of animals. Had a nice visit with fellow blogger Casey, he has a nice routine with the tigers. Also visited with JRN II, Nellie and Adrian, Tavanna, Sarah Green, Ryan Combs and old friend Brian LaPalme from our Big Apple Days.

Pretty sturdy looking marquee
with all the flavor of an old
mud show front end CIRK DE WHAT
With all the appeal of attending a trade show. I wonder if all guests recieve a name tag and are instructed when to applaud. Now I am the one longing for simpler times!

Yes Buckles as the wall on the
left side of the photo is that
of the newly renamed David Koch
Theater formerly NY State Theater
Erik: Yes, it was Mike who took some (I have copies) excellent aerial shots of BAC in NY from, I believe, the 40th floor of a neighboring highrise then under construction and also a great shot from a helicopter in Boston.
Buckles: As you exit through the front door the Met is to your left, fountain to you right.
It is my understanding that the entrance, rotunda, etc were bought from the Fashion Week organization
whichused the setup in the same location.
We expect to be back at the show later on in the run and if no one else does, I'll report on any "aesthetic" improvements.

Looks to me like they need that
well known aesthetic consultant
"Tony The Torch"
I was just going to say, it looks like a leftover from fashion week...hope some color and interest, circus style has been added....
In the summer of 1982, I hired several young men just out of high school in Gatineau, Quebec to work on my 10 week tented tour of 28 cities in Quebec, plus Ottawa, with the Ronald McDonald Circus.
Mike LeClair, I am happy to say, was one of them.
He had zero experience, but was a fast learner and quickly developed a passion for the Big Top.
He has since become a tent boss on the Big Apple, Cirque de Soleil and worked in Europe.
He has come a long way from high school in Gatineau!!
