I miss George. I always enjoyed seeing him show up on the lot with a funny story and a smile. By far the most unpretentious Circus Producer I ever knew.
"By far the most unpretentious Circus Producer I ever knew" Amen to that, Buckles. I wonder if it had anything to do with the fact tha he wasn't descended from a Royal lineage?
Uncle George had a sense of humor about the most trying moments of circus production. He got my girlfriend to agree to haul two of his ring curbs stacked to the ceiling in her motor home. She didn't like it very much, but there was that Hubler charm. He got my attention with stories of his long friendship with Terrell Jacobs. I enjoyed being one of his 1975 nephews.
George turned out a video of the 1952 Beatty show, where he worked a hoe-handle act, that is worth looking for.
