Anyone know what relation these Nocks were to Pio and Bello? ~frank
The late Eugene Nock married Aurelia Canestrelli and they are Bello's parents. Eugene and Aurelia also had a great low wire act together. Aurelia was originally an equestrienne as well. The Nock family owned Circus Nock in Switzerland, which dates back several generations. I would venture that Pio Nock may have been a cousin?

I don't believe that Charlie &
his wife had any children

All I can contribute is that no finer folk's could you be fortunate enough to know, then Eugene and Aurelia Nock, and their equally fine boy's.

I met Charlie at Circus America in DC when the Capitol Center first opened. Ringling at the Armory and Circus America day and dateing at the center. Both shows did great business and it was a huge family reunion of sorts.
Charlie told a story about breaking his back (Ohio State Fair?) doing his dismount from the sway pole. Dust from the racetrack coated the pole during his act and he couldn't slow down. He said he had no feeling in his leg (severed nerve), yet still walked a wire. I asked him how, and he said the balance is up here and he hit is chest... amazing folk. I loved working with Pio, Pio Jr, and Tony.
That Circus America date had
7 swaypoles on the front track
3 Bauers & 4 Nocks all together
Dress rehearsal lasted 7 hours

Oygie won a Grand or Best Florida State body building championship, a few years ago. Do you know what it was?

No Wade I don't but I'm going to
see Bello this week & I'll ask
Oygie owns & operates a couple
of Helicopters in Michigan & has
had his pilot's license for years
He & 1 or 2 of the brothers were
the replacement helicopter trap
act at "The Dells" following
Dave Merrifield upon retirement

Give Bello my best. I still have a beautiful tiger head picture that he drew for me, and gave me when he was about 9 or 10 years old, framed on the wall.

incredibly multi talented
With his lovely wife Jennifer
& their 3 kids Alex Amariah
& Analise they have a music
room in their all purpose barn
where they all seem to be able
to play several instruments
They have both indoor & outdoor
rigging for their many acts

I think the world of his mom
& his uncle Pietro Canestrelli
