The people at left neglected to heed Rule #1 listed in "Fun By The Ton".
In '93, I worked with the two elephants at the Alaska Zoo, in Anchorage, at the behest of a long-time cronie from Jungleland. He handled Annabelle, the tragically obese Asian, and assigned me a spot between the African Maggie and a cinder-block wall. I refused getting myself set up like that, quickly realizing the old acquaintance wasn't the friend I had known, nor the elephant man he purported to be, and I hadn't even read Rule #1.
Update: Buckles may have more complete data, but Annabelle died, and Maggie was transferred with great media fanfare to a sanctuary in California. The "old friend" at the time was fading to the shadows of drug abuse.
