A pennant or a program could last a life time, a 'pot metal sword' may last all the way to the train station or parking lot.
Now the "Winky-Blinky Lites" 30 years later were a whole 'nother story.

I still have one of the celluloid kewpie dolls. It's not in very good shape because it was played with, which is what it was made for.
