Among his animals didn't Bobby
Berosini have a trained gorilla
as well as chimps & orangs
(Bobby's sister is Anna Farfan)
Bobby did have a young male gorilla named Chuck in his act in 1972(?). He stopped by the St. Louis Zoo and visited with me and chimp trainer Mike Kostial. He took the gorilla out of his RV. Bobby's young son would ride on the gorilla's back -- nice animal.
A year or two later I saw Bobby when he played a Shrine date for Fleckles at a county fair speedway grandstand in Belleville, IL. He told me he lost the gorilla (heart problem) and thought his act had lost its star. In time they realized the orangs were the ones who got the attention.
Belleville was his last circus date. He was headed to Busch Gardens and then on to Las Vegas.
His father Jan had a gorilla in his act that got repo'd before the STL Police circus in 1967. Seems his wife owned the gorilla. Jan later had two gorillas in his act.
