Paul Jung was famouse for his charcter heads, orininally out of paper mache and then he later used something called I think celastic, Chic would be familiar with that product. Jackie LeClaire

Thank Jackie for the intro

Silastic "that fantastic plastic"

was a coloidal treated fabric

made by American Cyanamid as a

molding material for the display

& scenic trades it was made in

several weights & dimensons

It started as stiff as a light

chipboard & bacame limp as a rag

when immersed in MEK (methyl ethyl

ketone) which we spent many hours

in what now would be a "fatal"

invironment by the authorities

I honestly still have some

Barry Sloan (Yelding) made many

similar heads for the Beatty show
