Buckles:
Back from a couple of weeks in VT, first heatwave since 2003 and in a house with no air conditioning, brutal

More to the point, one day we went to a small antique mall (ac thanks
God) I found an old family album from the
1910's to teens. Dozens of pages, looked at every one and found the
attached lone Circus photo from, I believe
1914 (Sparks). A shame there weren't more pics as the overall photo
quality was quite good.

Lastly, last night saw some of and taped, "The Circus Queen Murder"
(1933) with Adolphe Menjou and
Greta Nissen. Fun movie with lots of great Circus shots (street parade,
spec etc).

Trying to keep cool,

Paul

I saw for the first time -
Circus of Horrors (1962)
& then
Bezerk (1967)
which had some nice Ring & Lot shots -

The LOOK , Mood & Beat of the 60s Films are So Clear & Easy on the Eyes & Nerves .

I thought Circus of Horrors came out in 1960.

Thank God for TCM! It was a night of the dark side of the Circus with Freaks, Circus of Horrors, Berserk and The Circus Queen Murder. Circus of Horrors and Berserk were both film on the Billy Smart Circus in England. What was so great about seeing Berserk on TCM was how many of the circus acts that were cut from the broadcast version of the movie. Hope everyone had a great weekend! ~frank
