I can remember Monte coming to the Sheridan Street Elementary School with his family back in 1958 and doing a show for us five year old's on the playground. ~frank
This photo appeared in the June 1940 issue of NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC as part of an article titled "Seeing Our Spanish Southwest." Montana was checking into a Tucson hotel, while in town for a Wild West show. The photo's caption mentioned that the horse was wearing special rubber shoes in order to perform this stunt safely on the hotel's marble floor.
