From Buckles

Scan13030, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

This appears to be the the same truck as seen in the
previous picture, purchased to accommodate the five
Russell Bros. elephants purchased from Art Concello.
"Margaret", "Elsie", "Daisy" "Dixie" and "Myrtle"
Trying to see how many hey can squeeze in are John
Carroll, Whitey Thorn, Joe Pete and Dores Miller.
I was later told that this unit was originally designed
to carry oil drums.

Cab in the previous picture has different nose and appears to have white top and signage on the side.

Some the clueless management types today would say," Barrels.... Elephants, What's the diference?"

Seriously though, was it harder on the 'girls' traveling in an open truck? Especially with possible (and probable) contact with flying bugs, debris and tree limbs.
