A popular radio program, THE LONE RANGER finally made it to the big screen in 1938 as a 15-chapter serial produced by Republic Pictures. Produced on a lavish (for a serial) budget, it featured a better-than-average script, a large cast, location filming at Lone Pine, California, and plenty of exciting action (most of it provided by ace stuntmen Yakima Canutt and Ken Cooper.) |
