Thanks pal
I might just have a couple
of these in the warehouse
Chic,
Now, all you need to do is find some sucker to buy them.
Bob KItto
Sell them ... Hell no
If I could find them & some sucker
I'd GIVE them away
(along with much more of my stuff)
Come on down with an empty truck
Actually, a steam engine [center] powered generator [left], with an attached flywheel [right], which is what you are sseing in this detail photo, are quite collectible today. All sorts of "engine heads" collect, restore and display just this sort of thing at steam shows across the country. What some see as scrap, others see as industrial artifacts. One man's trash is another's treasure, it all depends on how you present it.
Anonymous,
Thanks again for the info as with all that large pipe and pipe all over the palce I thought it was a steamer.
Plus the fly wheel is a give away.
In the wide shot of the generator wagon that tank at the back bottom must be the fuel for the boiler.
I would hate to be the one that runs it and something happens or loose steam pressure and the light go down low.
Mr. Bailey would not be a happy camper.
