Wagon #146 is identified as containing one of the huge floats used for the “Old King Cole and Mother Goose” spec. Somehow, this one still had not yet been converted over to rubber tires. |

After the Al G. Barnes / Sells Floto Circus finished the 1938 season, the show was brought back to Sarasota. Now having four additional stockcars they really didn't need anymore, the 4 al G. barnes / Sells Floto stockcars were cut down to become flatcars. They were numbered # 150, 151, 152, and 153. 1941 was the first year these were on the RBBB train. Papers at the CWM Library in the RBBB vault indicate that Cetlin and Wilson had agreed to buy all four of them but then a different sale occurred whereby only #150 went to the Cetlin and Wilson Carnival.
Mr. Fred Dahlinger's book "Show Trains of the 20th Century" shows the # 150 while on the Cetlin and Wilson Shows on page 114. His notations indicate the other three cut down stockcars were all sold by RBBB in the late 1940's as well.

Bob,
Thanks so much on the info on the flat as I looked at it early this morning and said it sure did not look like a Warren or Mt. Vernon.
Great job and keep it up.
