There is no doubt about the above - -Bibi in Colombo. But look at this huge male - - -

That's Howard Bary wearing the pith helmet. This photo was taken when he was in the B. Congo in late 1946-early 1947. It was published in a booklet that he used with his British Africa Zoo. It was a traveling animal show that operated in 1951-53. It used three railroad cars with patrons walking through each of them. Bary had some nice animals in this show, including a pygmy hippo but no cyclotis.

The straight down tusks of this male are typical of cyclotis but the ears do not show the characteristic roundness. Perhaps a hybrid?

The tusks are magnificent, but how tall is Mr Bary? Are we talking about artistic license here? This bull looks big, but not THAT big.
