From Don Covington

The Greatest Show on Earth passed through Rock Hill today literally.
The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus train trekked through Rock Hill on its way to Columbia from Charlotte Monday morning. The train stopped on the tracks in downtown Rock Hill for a few minutes while crews repaired its brakes, Norfolk Southern conductor Scott Harper said.
The train normally travels through York County at night, he said, so today's sighting was a rare treat.

Don, I was talking to Jonathan Griggs who is Asst: Gen Manager with RBBB Red Unit here in Columbia on Monday afternoon. He told me that they were a little later loading out in Charlotte because of the icy conditions up there. They were about 2 hours late arriving in Columbia. The weather people are calling for a chance for the same thing here for this weekend. We also have The Hanneford Circus day dating RBBB in Columbia for the Shrine , good weekend for South Carolina Circus Fans.
