Among the large number of young elephants imported by William P. Hall over the years, a group of six arrived in 1925 "Sidney", "Wilma", "Nellie, "Tessie", "Mary" and "Anna May".
The picture above shows Bill Woodcock and Guy Smith that year with three of them "Mary", "Sidney" and "Wilma" the last two were named after Halls daughters. My dad talked them into naming one of the others after movie actress Anna May Wong.
