Band, originally uploaded by bucklesw1. Hello Buckles, I'm planning to be in Sarasota next week for the Windjammers Convention. Will you and Col Herriott be making your usual visit during Chuck Schlarbaum's rehearsal on Thursday night? I'd love to get to see you if you are. Don't know whether you heard, but the festivities have moved this year to the Courtyard by Marriott in Bradenton since the old Holiday Inn in Sarasota closed. That should make your commute a little shorter (it's located on US 301 at the river in Bradenton). The schedule is the same as in previous years, even though the location has changed. The bands will rehearse during the day and in the evenings on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Chuck's circus band that will play for the Sailor Circus will rehearse on Thursday night. On Saturday, there will be a concert in the afternoon at the Ringling Museum. The next day, on Sunday, is the concert and show at Sailor Circus. I'll give you a call when I get into town. It looks like your weather has warmed up, thank goodness. My blood has thinned out since we're back here in San Diego! All the best, Don
