Dion, That tiger using the t-bar may have been a new one still in training.I have known many great cat trainers that use t-bars to teach sit up tigers. You cant make the assumption that he was not a great cat trainer by one picture. No offense intended but if you do you are ignorant.
Adam, A tiger in training would be on a T bar, of course, and yes it is a great way to start/teach a sit up off the cage(which was impossible with the advent of pull up net cages) like Ringling and Hawthorn used, later putting them on the floor in large group situps. I too wondered at a T bar as he appears to be in costume, which would lead one to believe the act/training is finished for the moment. Be safe, and I love you, Pops
Just a Fan's comment. I blew up the photo and the prop looks to me like a hoop that was used for the cats to jump through...perhaps poorly moved aside in front of a lazy tiger ?!?
My respect and admiration for all of you who step into the big cage.

yes : Trevor was a Great Cat .
Budnik,
Did you mean Great Cat Man/Guy/Trainer? Looking at the T bars for a sit up, I don't think so.
