Beatty Show (From Ned Toth)

bc 672, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

Received these outstanding pictures recently from Mr. Toth with whom I agree that a few are of Annie Liebovitz quality.
The first three are obviously taken when the show was still on rails and the rest immediately after McClosky, Kernan and Collins had put it back in the mud.

Thanks Buckles for running these great old photos and what a way to start off a cold day here in Texas.
We have 19 degrees today but sunny and wish I was in Florida as I am cold.
Your great blog is my morning cup of coffee.
And thank you Buckles for taking your time to do all this for us fans.

Well Harry you might just wait

to visit the "Sunny South" as

we are expecting it to drop

well below freezing and they

are saying "chance of flurries"

as far down as here in Sarasota

Chic, I always enjoy your comments on the blog and keep them coming.
Maybe I better go to South Pacific to warm up.
The only thing nice here in Texas is that it was 19 and now warming up with clear sunny skies.
Buckles blog is a learning experience for me as I like true circus history.
And circus folks sharing there experiences going down the saw dust trail.

lucky us in So. Calif., it's been in the mid 70s for the past couple of weeks--perfect "circus weather" indoors or out!

What a bunch of wimps! It was below zero this morning and got up to around 20. How's that for down south (south Wisconsin). Supposed to get into the 30's by mid-week maybe.

Majestic did a lot for Beatty posters in the late 40's. I think that they are real eye catchers.
