"Tony" and "Josky" had been a working team starting in the late 1920's the Floto Show. Prior to that "Josky" had carried a tiger in a steel arena with Hagenbeck-Wallace.

Irvin Feld thought that he had the first tiger riding an elephant until he saw an Al G. Barnes litho showing the act several decades earlier.
